Longfellow Road Dental Practice provides trusted, high-quality NHS dental treatments. Our NHS treatments deliver the dental care every patient needs to preserve the health of their gums, teeth and mouth and the best part is that most patients receive this without feeling any pain or discomfort.
The fees for NHS treatments and checkups are partially covered by the NHS and patients have to cover the balance. All the prices related to these treatments are fixed and categorised into different NHS bands.
NHS dental care for children up to 18 years is free of charge. In addition, dental care is free if you are eligible for it under the NHS exempt criteria. For instance, nursing mothers and pregnant women are covered too. There are also situations where students can apply for help when it comes to covering NHS dental treatments. The list of NHS exemptions is found on their official website, but if you’re unsure, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise you whether you are eligible or not.
With the help of NHS dental care, you can get the treatment needed to keep your oral health at a high standard. In other words, you can expect to keep your gums and teeth healthy and avoid pain. Keep in mind that any NHS treatment is limited and includes only the essentials needed to keep basic oral health. Some examples of these essentials include root fillings, dental examinations, dentures, bridges, crowns and dental fillings. It’s worth mentioning that other dental treatments like orthodontic treatments or dental implants are sometimes available too. But, in order to get them there must be proven a medical need for these treatments. Additionally, patients under the age of 18 can get NHS orthodontics treatment (teeth straightening treatment).
The price that each patient pays is directly related to the treatment they need to preserve the health of their gums and teeth. Patients must pay one charge for each course of treatment. To find out more about our excellent NHS treatments, please get in touch.
